As much as I adore Acoustic Alchemy, this is the CD that I listen to least.
When I played it for my parents they mistook it for a Kenny G record. Every
great group takes a wrong turn somewhere along the line. This was theirs.

This CD is simply admirable. The Blue chip is an optimist piece. With you I
mind is a very smooth ballad with soft lyrics. Bright tiger is a piece with
strong Arabian accent and Ariane is another smooth piece. Highland is tome
the best of the album.

But there is still more. Boulder coaster is a summer breeze song and Hearts
in chains is overwhelming.

In sum this album is extremely recommendable for any listener who
appreciates anfd enjoys the jazz moods.


As a producer, and record label owner, I have heard my share of guitar
albums through the years. I have been a big fan of Acoustic Alchemy since
the beginning, and own all of their works to date. Blue Chip continues to
be my personal favorite (with Back on the Case running a close second)
becuase of the crisp, unforgettable melodies that are laced throughout this
guitar gem. I consider myself privilged to have seen Nick & Greg many times
in concert and recently the new version of Alchemy and they truly deliver a
superb performance every time. If you're a fan of guitar music, do yourself
a favor and get this CD - you will not regret it!
